We are a close-knit group that is very representative of the MULTI-ETHNICITY of our church with at least 10 different ethnic backgrounds and, besides English, four other language groups are represented. 

We are also representative of our church in the diversity of AGE in the Celebrating Choir with the eldest member in her late seventies and the youngest in High School.

The diversity of our fellowship as a church is also represented in the diversity of the STYLES OF MUSIC we sing: from fine new arrangements of well-known hymns up to and through current praise songs being written by contemporary Christians.  You haven't truly experienced what heaven will be like until you hear a group of Anglo-, Latino-, Asian-, and African-Americans sing our version of a Gospel tune!

Although we work on special presentations at Christmas, Easter and Summer, we are primarily a worship-leading choir, not a 'presentation' choir.  The form that today's worldwide 'emerging' choir is beginning to take on is a departure from much of the traditional aspects we have come to recognize:                                                                                                                     

1) The emerging choir is not primarily about performance; it is primarily about WORSHIP;                                                                                                                                    

2) it's not about being 'slick'; it is about PASSION;                                                                                                                                                                                                          

3) it's not about acquaintanceship; it is about FAMILY;                                                                                                                                                                                              

4) it's not about momentary emotion; it is about ETERNAL SIGNIFICANCE;                                                                                                                                                                  

5) it's not about competition; it is about SERVANTHOOD;                                                                                                                                                                                               

6) it doesn't view talents as primary; it VIEWS CHARACTER AND FAITHFULNESS AS PRIMARY.

We take the month of August off for a little R and R  (strictly to give the director a break!) 

Please be aware that NO FORMAL AUDITIONS are necessary to be a part of the "Celebrating Choir"!  However, you may be asked to sing a bit in private just for me!!
