Get Involved

Now is the time to be a part of the work of God at First Baptist Church.

When the men of the church become active participant in the spiritual development of our families it is a great encouragement to the whole church.

Go is always looking for men who will have a heart for Him For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. (2 Chronicles 16:9 NIV), and who will stand in the gap to serve Him I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but found none. (Ezekiel 22:30 NIV).

I encourage you as your Pastor to be a part of the Men’s Bible Study and to participate in the activities provided for men. There is a need for volunteers to take an active part in our church maintenance as volunteers to make our campus attractive to our community.

The Men of FBC

The purpose of the men’s ministry is to provide spiritual training for the men of the church that equips them to be more effective in:

• Personal devotional life
• Family leadership
• Personal witnessing
• Serving others for Christ
• Connecting with other men

The programs provide for the men are designed to encourage their own spiritual growth and the stability of the local church as they give spiritual leadership in all areas of Church life.

Participation is open to all men of the community who desire to grow in their commitment go Christ.

Opportunities to Grow

As men we face a variety of temptations and issues, and we struggle to do that which would honor Christ. As a church our plans are to develop areas of ministry in the following ways:

• Men’s Bible Study – Wednesday nights 6:45-8:00 p.m. in Room 103
• Men’s Retreats
• Small Groups
• Recovery Group Ministries
• Lay Counseling Ministry
• Mission Trips
• Recreation Groups
• Work Projects Around The Campus
• Prayer Breakfasts and Outreach Dinners

Sound exciting? It is – and you can be a part by getting involved as soon as possible.

God is dong a great work at FBC and the men’s opportunities are only beginning. Jump on board and let go of the shore line as we Discover the Joy of being Men of God together.
